About Black Cracker…

Writing, producing and mixing all his own music, left of centre artist Black Cracker goes against the grain of cliché gangster rap to present a hip hop record with poetic immediacy and edge. Tears of a Clown is an intimate meditation on paradox. A transition from dark to light. Streams of consciousness between dreams and actuality, of obstacles overcome and those to come. Subversive in execution, Black Cracker has grown as an artist to produce a potent and impassioned debut.

After cutting his teeth with Cocorosie, a collaboration that earned him a coveted spot in avant-garde circles, he went on to shape the rise of Bunny Rabbit, for whom he wrote and produced. A NYC native, currently residing in Berlin, BC tours the globe as the mischievous poet of Swiss jazz trio, Grand Pianoramax. His first manuscript of poems and drawings, entitled “40oz Elephant” is published courtesy of Bob Holoman’s Bowery Books.
